Vibration-Free, Non-Explosive Chemical Rock & Reinforced Concrete Splitting
RockFrac Non-Explosive Demolition Agent (NEDA) is an environmentally safe, expansive mortar powder designed for controlled cracking, fracturing, quarrying, and demolition of natural stone, boulders, ledge rock, and reinforced concrete. When mixed with cold water, it forms an expansive slurry that undergoes an exothermic chemical hydration reaction, generating solid expansive stresses exceeding 50 to 150 MPa (500 to 1500 kg/cm2, or 7,250 to 21,750+ PSI). Because natural rock possesses a tensile strength of only 4 to 10 MPa and concrete 2 to 4 MPa, the outward pressure readily exceeds the ultimate tensile failure thresholds of target materials, causing quiet, multi-directional fracturing without flyrock, vibration, toxic fumes, dust, noise, or shockwaves. Available in both traditional temperature-graded types and a universal formulation regulated via chemical inhibitors, RockFrac replaces blasting and hydraulic breakers without requiring explosive licensing, seismic monitoring, or blasting permits.
